The Challenge

Recruit 45 C-suite hospital executives across 8 cities within a 6-week timeline for in-depth interviews about healthcare technology adoption.

The Outcome

All 45 executives recruited on schedule with a 95% show rate and full qualification compliance.

Recruiting Challenge

A healthcare technology company needed to evaluate how hospital systems approach technology purchasing decisions. The study required recruiting C-suite executives — specifically CEOs, CFOs, and CTOs — from hospitals across eight U.S. cities.

These participants needed to have direct involvement in technology purchasing decisions at hospitals with 200 or more beds. The 6-week recruiting timeline was aggressive for this audience, as hospital executives are notoriously difficult to reach and schedule.

Recruiting Approach

Standard panel databases yielded very few qualified hospital executives. The recruiting strategy relied on a combination of professional network outreach, healthcare industry contacts, and targeted referral recruiting.

Each potential participant was individually verified against the qualification criteria — hospital size, title, and purchasing authority were confirmed before scheduling. The screening process was designed to be respectful of executive time, completing qualification in under 10 minutes.

Scheduling required significant flexibility, with interview windows offered across early mornings, evenings, and weekends to accommodate executive availability.

Results

All 45 executive interviews were completed within the original timeline. The 95% show rate exceeded industry benchmarks for C-suite research participants, and every participant met the full qualification criteria.

The client reported that participant quality was consistently high, with executives providing detailed, actionable insights about their technology evaluation processes.
